FUT Champions Cups are Global Series events. They are considered some of the most important events in this year's tournament because they award the biggest number of Global Series points. These points are needed to advance to the next phase so participants seize every occasion to grab as many points as possible. There will be six FUT Champion Cups played throughout the tournament. Three of them are already scheduled to take part in Bucharest, Romania. A part of the FIFA 20 development team is located there.

Each Cup event has 64 participants. There will be 32 Xbox One competitors and 32 PlayStation 4. The prize pool for each event is $200,000. The winner gets a quarter of this amount. The second place gets $30,000. Third and fourth places get $15,000. Fifth to eight get $7,5000. Ninth to 16th get $3,500. Seventeenth to 32nd get $1,000 and the remaining places get $500. Money is important but players also compete for points. The first place gets 2,000 points. The second place gets 1,400 points. Third and fourth get 800 points. Fifth to eighth get 500 points. Ninth to 16th get 300 and the rest get 150 points. 

Those who want to participate in a FUT Champions Cup have to qualify in an online tournament that takes place roughly one month before the Cup.

The first two FUT Champion Cups have already taken place.

The first one was claimed by Tekkz from Fnatic marking his third Champion Cup in a row.

The second Cup went to NR7 who is not part of any team.

The third one is scheduled for January 17th-19th, 2020. The qualifiers begin on December 14th and last until December 15. You need to become FUT Champions verified by December 3rd to compete in this third Cup.

The fourth Cup will take place on February 21st-23rd, 2020. If you want to participate, make sure you are verified by January 21st and qualify in the online tournament on January 25th-26th.

The fifth Cup will unfold from April 3rd to 5th. The qualifiers start on February 29th and end on March 1st. You have until the 4th of February to be verified.

The last Cup will take place from May 15th to May 17th. The qualifying event starts on April 18th and ends on the 19th. The deadline to become verified is February 4th.
